Children's Hospital

We took Susie to Children's Hospital on Monday to get her Port Wine Stain looked at. We left at a quarter of 7 took Anna and Carter over to Vanessa's House(Thank you Vanessa!), then drove the 3.5 hours to Seattle. Susie did really well on the trip, newborns travel so well. We got there 1/2 hour before her appointment and got right in, saw the Dr right away and was done 5 minutes after 11(our appointment time), then we waited a half hour for the nurse to get us put in the computer so we could schedule our next appointment.

There wasn't much to Mondays appointment. The Dr looked at her, looked in her ears and mouth, then talked to us for 10 minutes about what we need to do next and what it could be or not be. It could be nothing and that is the most likely out come, it could be Sturge-Webber. Which is why we are having a MRI done in January. Then if in fact it is nothing, what is the next step with the port wine stain, remove it with lasers or leave it. I feel like the appointment was pretty unnecessary, pretty much all that happened was the Dr came in looked at her then said we needed to come back in 2 months for a MRI and there really isn't anything to do until then.

For now we are trying to get an MRI, a Dr's appointment and a Eye Dr's appointment all in one day up. We also need to get Susie okayed by the anesthesiologist because she won't be quit 3 months old yet, so they can knock her out for the MRI.

So that was that, and now we wait.

Poor little girl!
How frustrating that you had to drive all the way there just for him to look at it and tell you to make an appointment. You think you could have accomplished that much by sending him a picture!

Aren't you so glad that you got to drive 3 1/2 hours up there just for that??? Seriously...

Dr. visits are always frustrating, especially when you have to drive that far. But think on the bright side, you had all of that uninterupted time with Peter.

Well, we look forward to hear how she's doing. Well, like Andrea's mom said you did get uninterrupted time with Peter. =)
