Do you know what this is?

This morning I was laying in bed and Anna came to get me.

"Mommy, you need to come catch a ferret."

"Huh?"

"Mommy, you need to come catch the ferret that could be some ones pet."

"What? There is a ferret in our yard?"

"Yes, you need to get dressed and go catch it."

Peter had sent her up to get me. If you know Peter, you know that he does NOT do animals. So I come down to see what is going on and this is what I see.

It is not a Ferret, and it is really to big to be a squirrel, although that is what it looks most like.
It kinda has a beaver look to it, except the tail.

So I called animal control(this was at 7:30 am), they didn't open till 9. So I Waited and looked out every once int a while, to see if it was still there. By 9 I didn't see it anymore, but called anyhow. They referred me to a nuisance catcher. I called him but he didn't answer. I went back out to do a more thorough look of the yard and couldn't find it.

So that is the story of our morning visitor, I just wonder what it was. Do you Know?
