2009 christmas letter

Here is our 2009 Christmas letter. It is kinda long but I had fun with it.

Every Who down in Whoville liked 2009

Even the Grossnickles,

who lived in Pasco, liked it just fine.

The Grossnickles enjoyed 2009, the whole year.

Now you may ask why, I will tell you don't fear

It could be the many trips we did take

It could be, perhaps, the kids and the faces they make

But I think the most likely reason of all

May have been our friends and family,

that made us stand tall.

But whatever the reason, our trips or family

We stand here at the end of 2009, very happily.

In April we spent a week in Palm Springs

With Peter's whole family

and all the joy that,that brings

All 9 grandkids had so much fun

Even the adults got to play and soak up some sun.

In July a trip to my parents was made

Peter stayed home so the bills could be payed

I with 3 kids, my sister Sunny with 4

With all of these children it was never a bore.

We played, we swam and we skied

With all of this it was fun indeed

This trip was full of many joys,

Even with all of the noise, noise noise, noise.

At the childhood home of my friend Andrea Hayes

In Idaho Falls we spent several days

We saw the museum, the temple and zoo

We kept busy and had fun with lots to do.

Peter hiked with his brothers and dad

Though it had its ups and downs, it was not bad

Mt Rainier, northern loop trail is where they went

4 days and 3 nights is what they spent

Hiking the trails of the loop

They had a good time together in this group.

And so came the end of summer

And this, I did not feel was a bummer

For I had an idea

A lovely idea

A wonderfully, lovely, idea!

“I know just what to do”, the idea was a jewel

“I will send my older kids to pre-school”

With carter gone 2 days and Anna gone 3

I may even have some time that is free

Carter is enjoying his very first year

and Anna her 2^nd she could cheer

And So goes the year, the kids grow so fast

Watching them learn and play is a blast.

Anna now 5 loves to dance and to play

Her imaginations runs wild most of the day

She loves to draw and to create

she often does projects, for them she can't wait

Carter turned 3 now 3 and a half

Full of energy he plays, he is such a laugh

He is our cuddly sweet boy, we call him our “bug”

He likes to be with others, and will always give a hug.

Susie”The Bear” in October turned 1

She can be very wild and so much fun

She growls and yells and climbs on to things

She is the 3^rd child and with that, adventure brings

Together they play have fun and sing.

They sing and they sing.

And they Sing sing sing sing.

With primary songs our house does ring.

Much is the same with Peter and I

Except they released me from Young Womens,

and for that I did cry.

To the nursery they did ask me to go

The new adventures this will bring no one could know

Peters calling is still the same

Giving people talks, is his fame

His job is going good, not much to tell

He likes what he does and he does it quit well

Now as 2009 comes to an end

We will send to every family and friend

From every Grossnickle in Pasco, the tall and the small

We wish to send this message to all

The wish of Merry Christmas Cheer
