We have been sick here for over two week. Everyone has taken their turn. Peter started off, then carter, then Anna, then me, then Peter again and finally Susie woke up yesterday with a fever. I am so sick of it. I am ready for us all to be healthy again, no more coughing or runny noses. No more fevers or soar throats. I am done with it!
On a brighter note. I had an appointment last Friday and all is going well. It took, what felt like an ETERNITY, to find a heart beat, but it was there. We have the 20 week ultrasound scheduled for the 9th of April(Peter's birthday). And only just last night I felt movement. I have been feeling the wigging's and flutters for a couple days, but last night I was able to put my hand on my stomach and feel 4 kicks. I was beyond excited.
This pregnancy has taken a lot out of me physically, mentally and emotionally. I have had many friends loose babies recently, too many. It makes you go from the mentality of "it will never happen to me", to "what makes me so special that it hasn't happened to me." So I have fretted, I have stressed, I have worried, not just for myself but for people around me. So last night when I felt those kicks I laughed out loud, I cried for joy. My baby was telling me, "hey mom, I am here and I am good." And to that I say, "keep it up little one, because I need that reassurance."

Sorry you guys have been so sick. We had weeks and weeks of it, too. I thought it would never end! Glad to hear you're feeling those baby kicks, that is always the most reassuring feeling when pregnant. Take care of yourself.
Nothing as exciting as a wiggly baby! We've been going the round with colds and such, we are ready for a break too!
It's true. Nothing brings that reassurance the way that feeling your baby kick does. The best feeling ever!
So sorry you've all been sick. If we have to be sick, I'm a fan of the we all get it at the same time and it only lasts for a couple of days kind of sickness ;)
I'm sorry you guys were sick. I'm happy baby Grossnickle is keeping in touch. I can't wait to find out boy or girl!
