Remote boy and smore's pie

I love this picture of Carter. The boy cracks me up, he is so obsessed with remotes. It is hard to see but not only is he holding the DVD remote and have the Satellite remote next to him but he also has a Wii remote by his leg(which he didn't need). That is, count them, 3 remotes.
He loves to just hold the remote, It reminds me of my grandpa who also like to hold onto the remote. He would fall asleep in his chair with he remote in his had, and when we would try to take it from him he would wake up. I guess my carter boy has a little Ruitenbeek in him.

and a Marshmallow Meringue(recipe at end of post)
It was so, so good!

This is what happens when the baby has a cold and you are wearing a dark shirt.
Marshmallow Meringue Frosting:
1 1/3 Cups Sugar
1/4 cup water
3 large egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Beat sugar, water, egg whites and cream of tartar over a double boiler until stiff peaks form, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Continue beating until the frosting is thick, about 3 minutes.
I have a torch that I used to toast the meringue, you could probably put it under the broiler, but it doesn't have to be toasted.
