Anna spilt juice on the carpet, the covered it up with a towel. I didn't find it for at least an hour. This is the stain after I found it and cleaned it with some carpet cleaner.

This is the stain after Peter went over it with the steam vac. I was sure that I would have to rearrange the furniture, get an area rug or cut a big whole in the carpet. I was calculating how much it would cost to get new carpet or wood floors. How was I going to live with this big pink stain in the middle of my living room.

Then I went on line to see what I could find to help get the stain out. There had to be something to at least lighten it some more. And
this is what I found. Using my steam iron and a terrycloth towel I was able to get .....

The stain out!

Color me amazed! And I love the person who thought of using an iron to get stains out of carpet, I used my iron to get wax out, but never thought of it as a stain remover. I may not iron clothes but my iron has come in handy for cleaning the carpet and for that I will keep it around.

Pink isn't your color? That's a crafty girl to not tell Mommy. I'm impressed the iron got it completely out. That's a good thing to remember.
Brilliant!
Spot shot works miracles too.
Wow! I'm impressed! Thanks for posting your triumph as I'm sure I will be using this technique in the near future!
Wow what a great tip!
That is so funny because Julie just found out how to get a heat mark off a wood table using the same method..WEIRD!
That's amazing! I never would have thought to do that...especially since Will recently decide to iron his shirt on the floor and I discovered a big burnt iron mark in the carpet. LOL
I had no idea!! Thanks for sharing!
